Zoe Neill, originally from the west coast of Scotland is a 3rd Year Design for Textiles student at Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh. Bright colours and bold lines feature prominently in her work, mixing with illustrative influences to create her vibrant pieces. She enjoys working on a variety of surfaces and is happy to switch from denim to glass or from plastic to paper, as well as digital design. Most of her works start life as black marker drawings in her sketchbook, before she brings them to life either by using CAD technology or screen printing by hand. Whichever medium or method she uses, Zoe keeps colour at the forefront of her mind, it’s important to her to keep her work bright and inviting, with an element of fun.
